Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s never attempted rugged.

Rugged Enough to Revel
“I do have a question about appropriate attire,” Jacques said. “How would you define rugged? Buckskin? Denim? Lord, please tell me you don’t mean flannel.”
Nothing.
Only quiet breaths.
Jacques tried again. “I do wonder what revelries young wolves get up to on moonless nights.”
Sonnet whined.
Jacques tweaked the tip of his ear. “Is there something about this festival that scandalizes your nobler sensibilities?”
“A little…?”
“Then I’ll probably enjoy it.”
Sonnet tightened his hold but offered no further elucidation.
“Moving along. Shall I show you my tattoos, or is it more sporting to make you hunt them down?”

I do hope you’ll bundle these one day so we can easily read them betwwen the books where they fit in the timeline. I love all the Amaranthine stories and am looking forward to read how the story continues in the next book.

Lord Mettlebright’s Man will be published in a single volume once it’s complete. In fact, we’re working on the cover art … and Travis is spoken for. He’ll do the narration for the audio edition!

Hmmm, this is starting to sound right up Jacques alley. Sonnet sounds a little scandalized.
