Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with clout.

Petition
Normally, Argent was swift to enforce rules, but when Kyrie and Lilya stole from their chairs to approach Caleb Dare, the fox turned a blind eye.
So he was ready to yield?
Jacques moved to oversee.
Caleb read a petition signed by nearly everyone at Stately House, then asked, “What would you advise, sir?”
“I cannot think of a finer way for a man of your reputation to use his influence.”
“I’m more of a dog person, but sure. I’ll sign.”
Which is how the Dare brothers—at least on paper—swayed Lord Mettlebright on the proposal “Kittens for Crossers.”
