He turned as Catalan Evernhold sauntered into his arms and purred, “I love you.” 

Cat meant it. In his way. Deece’s sexy older brothers were good sorts.

Jacques smiled and sneaked a sip of coffee.

Argent arrived and sighed. “If you would disentangle yourself from our driver, we can be on our way.”

“I was just….”

He waved that off. “Better this lot than those dragons.”

Cat perked up. “You were canoodling with dragon lords?”

Jacques held up thumb and forefinger.

“Details!”

Not until Argent was out of earshot did Jacques admit that Lord Shywind had slipped him some tongue.

  2. lmao all I can imagine is Argent rubbing his forehead while explaining to Tsumiko that Jacques is pouting because Argent had to punt the dragon lords away and Gingko laughing.
