Chapter 298: Sure

Something in Sesshoumaru’s stance firmed, and there was a haughty tilt to his jaw. As he held her gaze, purple seeped into his stripes, quickly achieving the orchid hue that Kagome had been daydreaming about.

He would kiss her now, she felt sure.

Except, he didn’t.

But she was quite sure he wanted to.

Yearning. Anticipation. Expectation. All there on his face.

Sounds came from the direction of the village. Sango’s voice, then Kohaku’s. Interruptions. So Kagome took hold of Sesshoumaru’s hair, winding its length around her fingers to draw him near… and setting off a mayhem of vivid colors.
