Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s very familiar with male anatomy.

“What else would you call ’em?” Nonny snapped. “Dodo legs?”
Jacques rolled his eyes. “Nothing so extinct. May I touch?”
“If it’s you. Yeah.”
“Here, see?” Jacques wrapped both hands around Nonny’s thigh, kneading down to the knee. He lifted to bend it, then slid one hand further to grip Nonny’s calf. “You have goat’s hair, but this is a man’s leg. Trust me, I know.”
Nonny gaped.
“He’s right,” said Ginkgo. “The anatomy’s human.”
“Things transition here.” Jacques framed Nonny’s ankle. “Pasterns and dew claws. Very pretty flocking. And good, sturdy hooves.”
Nonny’s voice cracked when he echoed, “P-pretty?”

Poor Nonny, no wonder he’s so quick to snap a retort. He’s not had much kindness 😢

Oh sweet! Yes he has pretty feathers…that’s what they are called on horses with hair around their lower legs and hocks anyway.

Yep, I’ve heard feathering or flocking. Decided to go with the latter since I have enough feathered characters in this series! ::twinkle::
