LMM 304: Long Walks on Beaches

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the inquisitor.

Long Walks on Beaches

Jacques angled his head toward the water. “Any chance you enjoy long walks on beaches?”

“Not sure. Never tried.”

He offered his hand. “Shall we begin the inquisition?”

“Inti is ready.” He skipped the hand-holding, clambering onto Jacques’ shoulders instead.

“Right. Well? What do you want to know?”

His passenger leaned precariously searching his face. “Inti asks?”

“You haven’t decided if you trust Argent yet, have you? I can fill you in.”

“Jacques likes Argent?”

Non. I love him.”

“Jacques is biased?”

Non. He brought you to the one person who can give an honest reckoning. Pick a question. Ask.”
