Chapter 266: Sparkly
“You’re not the first to make a grab for Kagome.” Inuyasha couldn’t resist needling Sesshoumaru a little. “Even Naraku tried.”
“And you?”
He hadn’t expected to be asked. “I made promises. I’ve kept them. Gonna keep on keeping them, too.”
The bastard hummed in this careless way that communicated unconcern. But his gaze was searching.
Inuyasha snorted. “You’re the one she watches. And she gets you, which has to count for something.”
“Hnn.”
“I dunno much about… stuff, but I do know Kagome.” He rubbed at his nose. “This much sparkly pink in her scent means she’s happy. About you.”

…. Can Inuyasha smell color?? Could he always do that or is it because of the jewel, too?? Either way, promises? Oh?? To whom?? Kagome? KIKYO?!?! Is this a rare InuKikyo story from Forthy?? Hmmm speculations

Aw…that was revealing but he did that nicely. Letting Sessh know that he ranks at the top…apparently with pink sparkles! Which is adorable. I love how Inuyasha has matured throughout this story.

Pink sparkles and Inuyasha rubbing his nose…
Cue the image of my own dog sniffing and wrinkling up her snout at my can of 7Up! 😛
