With a little shimmy, she parted enough clothing for him to slide two fingers over skin that had been ravaged by tooth or by claw.
She shivered in his grasp, and fear sang through her mind.
Not for him, but for the memory he’d demanded she relive.
Pressing down as if to staunch a wound long healed, Sesshoumaru asked, “The demon?”
“Dead,” called Inuyasha from ahead. “Long gone. Totally decimated. So stop growling, already.”
