Snaring fur flexed and twisted, bringing Kagome to rest at Sesshoumaru’s side. She was sightly breathless, and her heart was racing.
“I didn’t know you could do that.”
“Hnn.”
The trailing end brushed her cheek, then settled across her shoulders. It was surprisingly companionable.
She gave the fur a cautious pat.
It twitched.
A peek assured Kagome that Sesshoumaru was feeling very pink.
She twirled her fingers deeper, tugging so she could reach with both hands. “Is this okay?”
His brow arched. Inconclusive.
“Should I stop?”
A slow blink. A subtle mauve. A soft answer. “Do as you please.”
