Jacques had just closed the tap when Canarian murmured, “I’m impressed.”
“By?”
“You were right. Uncle’s back.”
“Naturellement. It would be entirely rude to let bathwater go cold.”
“That’s the necessity you created?”
Jacques decided not to correct him.
Hisoka propped a shoulder against the doorframe. “Worried about his intentions?”
“He shouldn’t be. I haven’t any.” Jacques snapped his fingers. “Strip or be stripped.”
Wearily, Hisoka dragged off his tunic.
“Are you staying?” Jacques inquired sweetly.
Canarian’s smile turned mischievous. “Do you have intentions for me?”
“Oui. I want you here in case he falls asleep in the bath. Again.”
