Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the sleepy one.

Exceeds Expectations
“Are you actually drunk?” Argent bent close and patted his cheek. “You say the most shocking things.”
“Non. I surprise no one.” Jacques smiled a trifle blearily. “Least of all you.”
“You exceed expectations.”
“You would be disappointed if I didn’t.” Jacques remembered to add, “My lord.”
Argent turned to Deece. “Hisoka is also aware of Sinder’s presence. Do try to prevent anyone else from noticing.”
Jacques’ attention strayed to Sinder, who kept wafting his hand over his head, as if shooing a mosquito. “Slippery little beasts. I’d heard you were a collector.”
That’s when something landed atop Jacques’ head.
