Chapter 191: Distinctive

Sesshoumaru could feel Kohaku’s attention. Again.

While he didn’t particularly like the enforced awareness foisted on him by the Shikon-no-Tama, Sesshoumaru was determined to unravel its nuances. Perhaps in understanding it, he could lay claim to it. Like learning the balance of an acquired blade. Or breaking in a new pair of boots.

He huffed. Footware no longer applied.

Perhaps it was more like… learning a new scent. Because Kohaku’s attention was distinctive. A deferential expectation. As if he were waiting on Sesshoumaru. Or awaiting something?

He opened his eyes.

Kohaku smiled faintly. “Are you ready to go there, Sesshoumaru-sama?”
