Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the discreet one.

Discretion
“Do you approve of Sinder?”
“Not unreservedly.” Argent chose a tunic. “Please consider every word he utters to be shared in confidence.”
“Yes, my lord.” Jacques relieved Argent of his unfortunate selection and assisted him into something silken and scrumptious.
“What is this?”
“Appropriate.”
Argent sighed. “What was your opinion of Sinder?”
“Young. Beautiful. Straight.” Jacques tucked and smoothed. “Somewhat in awe of his partner. Moderately jealous of the younger brother. The type who can’t resist hinting he has a secret.”
“Jacques?”
“Yes, my lord?”
“Remind me to ask for your impressions more often. Better yet, assume I want them.”

Nice to know that Jacques is more than just a pretty face. Sharp witted and a sharp dresser.
