Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s used to taking orders.

Friends Stay
Jacques tried not to overthink how happy he was seeing Deece again. The feline wasn’t his type, but had good qualities. Easy on the eyes. Willing to share his bed. Fluent in English.
“Did you miss me?” Jacques asked sweetly.
Deece’s chin tucked. It was almost a nod. “I kept busy.”
“But did you miss me?”
“You had Uncle.”
“Oui, but he comes and goes. We stay.”
Deece managed a meek smile, almost like he didn’t believe Jacques.
Unacceptable.
Jacques wouldn’t let Deece imagine himself deposed. He understood cats better now. “Come. Friends help friends apply copious amounts of sunscreen.”

Oh…yeah! Giggle! There had better be a lot of sunscreen or there might be a few uncomfortable burns after this romp!
