LMM 122: Called It

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the trusted ones.

Called It

Hisoka settled back on his pillow. “I used to go to Harmonious, but that’s become less convenient since the Emergence.”

“Clashing schedules.”

“I do have nephews I trust.”

Jacques brightened. “Deece.”

“Here?” He smiled slyly. “Are you offering to become my safety?”

“I couldn’t protect you, but I could hold you.” Jacques awkwardly added, “If you wanted.”

Without fanfare, Hisoka said, “I accept.”

“Unless Argent objects. And if he can spare Deece.”

Jacques innocently added, “And Michael?”

Hisoka hesitated too long.
