Michael eased back a corner of the comforter. “Come, take Sensei’s place.”

“The chair will suffice, surely.”

Hisoka patiently disentangled himself from Lapis. “Dragons like shared heat.”

Lord. “Is he aware of my… preferences?”

Michael’s gaze softened.

“Are you referring to your fear of dragons, your devotion for Argent, or your orientation toward males?” inquired Hisoka.

Jacques nodded.

Michael gently said, “You’re here because you make Lapis feel safe.”

“Most people treat me like a threat. Once they know.”

Hisoka asked, “Are their fears justified?”

“Non.”

With a small smile, Hisoka warned, “Yours may be. Lapis talks in his sleep.”
