Kyrie hastily explained, “I think Sonnet has been trying to get your attention for a while, but Dad’s barriers…. You cannot hear him from inside, but a wind brought me a whisper.”
Jacques crossed to the double doors and opened them, letting in a gust of cold air. “Are you sure?”
“I am. I could make an opening for you,” Kyrie offered.
“Is he down in the garden?” Really, Jacques couldn’t see. Or hear a call. Or a howl, for that matter.
Kyrie reached out, slipping both hands into… nothing. “Sit on the rail. And when I say go, jump.”
