Game Night

Jacques supposed he was willing to try anything once. “Does bingo count as a night on the town here in Fletching?”

“It does in Archer.” Harrison reeled his hands. “Most of the town gathers together, and I host a game that’s intended to encourage peace between humans and Amaranthine. Would you come as my guest?”

A red flag was already flying. “Were you hoping to put me on display? I need to be discreet.”

“I see.” Harrison considered him thoughtfully. “You can’t help but stand out, being new and being… well, being you. But can’t you hide in plain sight?”
