Akira and Suuzu. They’re the closest of friends, the lifelong sort. And their story threads straight through the Amaranthine Saga. We haven’t had art of them since they were in middle school, so it was time for an update.

“Nestmates” | art by FoxOfTwilight
Quarterly Art Card. As most of you are probably aware, I create art cards as thank yous for my patrons. More and more, I’ve begun including story snippets on them. Little scenes or outtakes. The next Quarterly Art Card will go out in March, coinciding with the vernal equinox, and THIS is the art I chose to feature. AND I’ve written a scene to go with it, just a private moment between Akira and Suuzu, set near the end of Fumiko and the Finicky Nestmate. Completely original. So if you want MOAR of these nestmates, I hope you’ll consider joining the ranks of supporters over on Patreon >>

I want to preemptively reserve this art card so badly, I’m starved for these two. TTvTT (And JoeKip if you have it in you, because they are life and joy. <33 )

Ordered the art cards yesterday. They should arrive in plenty of time for the Spring Equinox.
… already did one Kip & Joe outtake: “Tokens”

I didn’t realize Suuzu was so much bigger than Akira. Love the art ❤

This made me cry. Not quite sure why, but their story is so beautiful. And they look so… at peace.

I love how content Suuzu looks. He’s so worried about losing Akira, it’s nice to see him enjoying the quiet moments 😍

This came out beautifully. Akira is looking very Cali beach in his Baja shirt. Suuzu is looking very relaxed and happy to be back with Akira. FoxOfTwilight is wonderful. Thank you.

It is lovely to see how they have grown (in height as well as emotionally) in each book.
