Chapter 295: Driven

The hunting lesson posed no real challenge. A child could capture roosting fowl. It occurred to Sesshoumaru that his brother had likely been a child when he developed the technique, driven by necessity and neglect.

The night passed, and Shippo brimmed with new confidence.

Inuyasha eyed the eastern sky. “Sun’s coming. I should get back.”

“To get Kagome?” asked the kit.

“Later today, runt. But there’ll be….”

Sesshoumaru stilled as the first gossamer touch of Kagome’s return reached him. She was back, and her thoughts were for him. He was already in motion, flying like an arrow to its mark.
