Deece hesitantly met his gaze, as if Jacques’ reaction… mattered.

“Many felicitations,” he managed, just as cautious.

“Why be shy?” asked Sansa. “My Minx, she gets what she wants, yes?”

“I am here by arrangement,” murmured Deece.

Michael cheerfully interjected, “This is all new to me, as well. I feel as if I’ve been let in on a grand secret. Help us keep it?”

“Naturellement!” And with more warmth, “Congratulations, Minx. Congratulations, Deece.”

Ginkgo asked, “Who gets to name these cuties?”

“Minx has named her daughter. She is Wile.” Deece beckoned Jacques to his side. “Help me name my sons?”
