A light, leisurely press of lips. Sesshoumaru wanted to gauge Kagome’s reaction. No, he wanted her participation. So he nudged her cheek and hummed questioningly.
“Erm… I’m awake,” she whispered. “Now.”
“Hnn.” He coaxed his pelt around her midriff and used it to lift her chin further.
Her heart fluttered, but she didn’t pull it away. “Is it morning?”
“No.”
She shifted and murmured, “Did you need something?”
“Hnn. Conversation.”
“Oh! Erm… sure. But won’t we wake Inuyasha?”
“Not if we are quiet.”
“What did you want to talk about?”
Sesshoumaru brushed their lips together. “This.”
