Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who may be a teensy bit nervous.

The wolf raised a hand in silent farewell.
“Untuck your tail.” Jacques offered his elbow. “Ginkgo’s as good as his word, and you’ll have your pick of welcomes. Drinking party. Grooming session. Midnight cookies.”
Sonnet walked with him, sedate and silent.
Stately House soon came into view, and Jacques felt Sonnet tremble. “Excited?” he asked.
“Oh. Well …?”
For the second time that day, Jacques spoke a simple truth. “You are brilliant. You belong here. Never doubt that.”
