LMM 213: Good Company

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the waking one.

“Hello, handsome.”

Hisoka stopped mid-yawn to peruse Jacques’ scent.

“It’s wee hours, the thirty-first,” Jacques reported. “Want a biscuit? I saved some.”

“Many thanks.” Hisoka’s eyes drifted shut. “Did my nephews make a pet of you?”

Jacques wasn’t sure how to answer. “A bit. I didn’t mind.”

A hum. A smile. He reached across Jacques to caress Catalan’s hair. “If you gain many more adherents, you will spend all your days in bed.”

“Hardly a chore when the company’s good.”

Hisoka opened an assessing eye. “Agreed.”

Jacques whispered, “Merci.”

Rising to kiss Jacques’ forehead, Hisoka ordered, “Show me your blaze.”
