Chapter 211: Clumsy
Kohaku waded upstream. With his yukata kilted up, he looked like a farmer planting rice.
Kagome adjusted her own skirt so it wouldn’t trail in the water and moved downstream. Slowly. The very river rocks she was seeking made for uneven footing.
She wanted a good stone—smooth, rounded, and flattish.
“There you are,” she murmured. But when she tried to lift her prize, it stuck.
Pulling harder, her feet slipped, and she would have pitched headfirst into a bramble thicket if not for a firm grip that pulled her back against a solid chest.
Sesshoumaru grimly demanded, “Let me.”

I feel like this is the slowest slow-burn ever, but when we get to these little interactions, they’re all the more sweet from how long-coming they’ve been 😂❤️

hehehe… As ever. Clumsy she has always been, and no artifice to it. I love this so much.
