Chapter 209: Hopeful

Kagome hadn’t realized he was gone until he was returning, slipping effortlessly through the air, a rabbit hanging limp in his grasp, his stripes smug. When he was pleased, especially with himself, he practically beamed yellows and golds.

Interestingly, she saw yellows most often when Inuyasha was around. As if Sesshoumaru was happier when his brother was near. Did different people stir him toward different moods?

She tried to think what colors he usually showed her.

Meanwhile, Kohaku stepped forward, accepting the rabbit. “Three more?” he asked hopefully.

There was savagery in Sesshoumaru’s brief smirk. And then he was gone.
