Chapter 179: Compelling
Calm seeped into Kagome’s soul, and she wondered if Sesshoumaru was the source.
So close.
So quiet.
So compelling.
Was the wish responsible for this turn of events? Not just the color show but … this. Hadn’t she wanted to understand him? Maybe that wasn’t possible without being this close. After all, Sesshoumaru wasn’t big on grand gestures. He did as he pleased.
Without hesitation.
Without fanfare.
Without comment.
But from here, tucked right up against his side, Kagome was privy to every little nuance of expression, every shift of color. And to a deepening conviction that she belonged here.
