Chapter 173: Prolonged

Sesshoumaru let his thoughts drift as the cosmos wheeled above, but his peace came to an abrupt end when Kagome loomed over him.

“Use this,” she mumbled, thrusting her pillow at him.

He took it.

“Behind your head. It’ll be more comfortable.”

Warily, he complied, only to have her snuggle down, using his shoulder.

“Don’t worry,” she murmured. “We’ll never speak of this. And it’s warmer.”

“Hnn.”

She was asleep. Indeed, he doubted she’d been properly awake.

Sesshoumaru didn’t need sleep as often as humans, but he wasn’t opposed to going through the motions if it meant prolonging this closeness.
