“We cannot possibly continue like this.”

Ginkgo snorted. “Is this about the fundoshi?”

Jacques sighed. “Can any of them swim?”

Gingko paused, swore, and sloshed ashore. “Form ranks!”

“He means line up,” Timur said helpfully.

By the time Deece let Jacques down, Gingko was ready to lay the blame—or credit—at his feet. “Uncle Jackie wants to add extracurricular lessons to your summer schedule!”

“Whassat?” hissed Nonny.

“School clubs,” offered Suuzu. “Usually of a recreational nature.”

Nonny stamped a hoof. “Whassat?”

Timur grinned. “Lessons for fun.”

Raising his hand, Ginkgo asked, “Who wants to join Uncle Jackie’s swimming club?”
