Chapter 162: Sloppy

Kagome covered herself. “No peeking!”

Sesshoumaru averted his gaze and ducked.

She wasn’t sure how to interpret his stripes. Was there a color for concern? Did he ever feel embarrassment? Cheeks flushed, Kagome slid into the spring. “Bathtime.”

The lion-dog crept closer, dipped a paw, and whined.

“You’ll love it.”

Shishi clumsily entered the pool, sloshing water everywhere. They were both sloppy with suds when the lion-dog started moaning.

She looked to Sesshoumaru, chin on paws, stripes gone that mysterious orchid color. “Am I hurting him?”

Sesshoumaru offered a doggish version of “Hnn,” and his stripes bloomed in silent laughter.

  2. AAWWW…sounds like he is far from hurting. Kagome is used to cats. How dare you wash me. Our dogs zoom through the house after a bath. He is loving this. Very sweet.

  3. omg my dog makes the noise sometimes if you scratch his ears just right…that funny deep groan is a little concerning if you’ve never heard it before but once you have 🤣

hope you’re staying safe forthy! long beach was on fire the other day but has since been a lot quieter because any protestors are making sure to stop opportunistic looters that follow on their heels. your writing is such a nice brief escape from it all. 😭 100 word snippets are just the right length so that you have a moment to breathe between absorbing everything else happening in the world.
