Chapter 160: Ridiculous
Consequences. Sesshoumaru had pushed beyond his limits. Leaden-limbed, he waited for the world to stop spinning. He didn’t notice Kagome’s arrival until her hand was on his muzzle.
“You look like you could use some medicine. Can you change back?”
Sesshoumaru lay back his ears.
“I asked too much of you.”
Ridiculous woman. She’d asked nothing, and he’d done what was necessary.
“Want anything?”
Ridiculous question. He couldn’t answer.
To his astonishment, she started stroking his face. “Water? Food? Quiet? Company?”
Her touch was an intrusion. Audacious. Irreverent. Yet it pleased him. And when the petting continued, she pleased him.
