Chapter 148: Uncertain

Kohaku slipped toward the door with a murmur about hunting.

Inuyasha looked to Sesshoumaru, and asked, “Wanna?”

“Hnn.”

Before they could get away, Kagome called, “Wait for me!”

Kohaku smiled and beckoned.

The rain had stopped, but leaves released heavy drops, and rivulets threaded through mosses.

Kohaku led them straight to an arch marking the entrance to a mountain shrine. Narrow stairs acted as a waterfall. Climbing them wouldn’t be easy.

“Where is this?” she asked.

“Not sure,” Kohaku admitted.

Inuyasha frowned. “Anyone else hear that?”

Kagome held her breath and listened. But the only sound came from Sesshoumaru.

“Hnn.”

  2. Man, I love this fic with all my heart. I’m still wondering who is who regarding the four souls of the shikon jewel. I figure Kagome is alive and Sessh is wisdom, bit I’m not sure about Inuyasha and Kohaku… Love your story!!
