Chapter 126: Empty

“This it?” Inuyasha asked when they reached the cave Sango had found.

Kirara mewed and primly wrapped her tails around her paws.

Kagome, who’d had to pick her own way through the underbrush, lifted their lantern. “Empty?”

“Not sure,” he grudgingly admitted. His nose had already stopped working.

“It is safe,” said Sesshoumaru.

Inuyasha grunted and hauled himself the last few steps to safety. Inside was cool and dry, but he couldn’t see, couldn’t hear, couldn’t taste the air like he usually did.

“Aww, hell,” he whispered, because he hated this part of being hanyou.

It devastated him every time.

  2. see this right here – this is why all the fics where Inuyasha becomes human and seems completely cool with it bother me I think. he never had an issue with his demon-half – or the powers, perks therein. He enjoyed those. so why would he choose to lose that ability??

  3. Totally agree. If I had all those owners and list them, even for a night, it wouldn’t sit well. I know he would go off to a tree and sulk but he never really did much else. Nicely done.
