Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the conscience-stricken one.

Bad Memories
“Little Jackie Smythe.” Argent’s fingers brushed a flushed cheek. “This is how I remember you.”
Jacques turned his face. “Don’t treat me like a child.”
“My treatment of that child plagues me.” Argent sighed. “I was… unkind.”
Suddenly, it occurred to Jacques that the one wanting to make a fresh impression was Argent. He rolled his eyes. “If you want to be kind to me, be kinder to your clothes.”
“That is all you want?”
“Non.” Little Jackie Smythe stuck his nose in the air and coated his words in sarcasm. “If you want to spoil me, I’ve a list.”

Aww Argent…Tsumiko has really rubbed on him, but its hard to separate out individuals from a whole family you despise sometimes.

When I consider this story “done,” I will certainly bind it in a volume. But let’s enjoy its unfolding together for now. ::twinkle::
