Three More Words
Jacques contemplated the breadcrusts and kipper brine on Sansa’s counter. The overgrown battler would undoubtedly track the wreckage to him, but that was a problem for tomorrow’s Jacques.
Tonight’s Jacques was loading his pockets.
“Sure you wanna do that?” asked Gingko.
He lifted the tin of caviar without hesitation but hesitated over the chocolates.
Gingko reached past him, snagging a few bars with hand-painted wrappers. He gave one to Jacques and one to Gilen, keeping the third for himself. “I have a further message from Dad.”
While not as magical as the first, these were equally compelling.
“Now, idiot boy.”
