Inky Fingers. Interested in signed copies of my books? Lord Mettlebright’s Man (which includes Suuzu and the Nine Nippets of Legend) is available. The stamp for Suuzu’s story features Boniface’s exasperation over his little brother’s oh, so charming ways.

Lord Mettlebright’s Man‘s print edition will release on July 22, just a couple of days from now. I just spied it on Amazon, so if you’re planning to buy the book through an online bookseller, you can probably pre-order! Very exciting.
Typesetting this book was a unique challenge. 700 mini-chapters … and then the short story, which has its own layout and Table of Contents. The results are very pretty!
My own print editions are ordered, but it’ll probably be at least a week before they land on my doorstep. I’ll make author-signed copies available after they do. Watch for more updates!

Caring about Nuance
Suuzu and the Nine Nippets of Legend. Travis will be wrapping up Suuzu’s story today. My invitation bears repeating: if you’d like to get in on the fun and listen to the making of an audio book LIVE, drop by his Discord server (Cryptid Audio) and join us in the #listeners-lounge. Start times vary. A couple hours, maybe?
The audio edition of Amaranthine Interludes 1 & 2 will release in July.
Suuzu and the Nine Nippets of Legend. I found out a couple of days ago that Suuzu’s story would be next up on Travis Baldree’s docket. Today’s the day! I am settled in with cinnamon toast (on homemade bread) and an oat milk latte. If you’d like to join in on the fun and listen to the making of an audio book LIVE, drop by his Discord server (Cryptid Audio) and join us in the #listeners-lounge.

Quarterly Art Card. Happy Solstice! I’m finally getting around to showing you the art for this quarter. Junpei’s portrait turned into a larger piece incorporating paper parasols. Fox and I decided that while red flowers were a must … we could next-level things by including the Junzi/Four Gentlemen. Junpei is the main character from Flattered by Flowers (Songs of the Amaranthine, #8), and yes … as many of you have guessed, he’ll be recurring in Kimiko and the Cycle of Moons. (Coming this fall! A patreon-exclusive serialization!)

For the art card, there’ll be an original story snippet on the reverse, titled “Sacred Tree.”
