Run with Us
Coming Soon. I’ve been tinkering with a new short story for months. Patrons have been getting the odd teaser, but it’s finally time to announce the upcoming release here. ::twinkle::
She’s used to writing headlines.
She’s about to become one.

Levity Jones is a local celebrity. As a journalist with the Perspective, her reports connect a whole city. Nobody would believe that the one bringing them heartwarming human-interest stories isn’t human. Unless she goes public. Which is exactly what the Five are asking her to do. The clans are about to become breaking news, and they need influencers like Levity to cast the Amaranthine people in the best possible light.
. . .
Pressed into Service is basically a contemporary workplace rom-com … with an Amaranthine twist. And if you’re truly, amazingly tuned into every possible detail, you might actually remember that Levity was mentioned once in the main series. (Because I do things like that. All. The. Time.)
Thanks to the debacle surrounding the set-up of Bk7, I can’t offer pre-orders for this story, but I’m holding out hope to sneak Pressed into Service out by the end of the month. That would make me so happy.

Big Decision
Quarterly Art Card. These were delayed, but they’re finally in, and I’m tucking them into envelopes for patrons. Featuring art by Nicko, I included a “missing scene” for Suuzu & Akria on the back. If you want to read “Nesting Instinct,” you’ll need to come on over, join up at the Twinkle tier, and request inclusion in the mailing. Because of the delay, I’m letting any new/upgrading Twinkles in July request the Quarterly Art Card. It’d be a shame to miss out!

Art Card: 5.5″ x 8.5″ with a semi-gloss finish
Art: “Treehouse” by Nicko
Reverse: “Nesting Instinct,” a new and exclusive scene

Updated! Bard & Barbarian has updated over on my Patreon with Ch73: “Elsewhither Chapel,” in which Imber has a long night and an interesting morning. Because I’m similarly prone to pure twaddle. (Ah, it feels good to finally get past a Rhomiko-based hiatus for Bard & Barbarian.)

Patrons at any (paid) tier can read Bard & Barbarian!

Pack Traditions
Patreon Mailings. Just a quick peek at crops from the art cards that are going out to patrons this month. There’s still time to take the plunge and support my stories in new ways. Perks include mailings like these, access to Bard & Barbarian (an ongoing original story), narrated chapters of BnB (because Travis Baldree is amazing), and a subscription of sorts to Kimiko and the Cycle of Moons, which is currently seeing monthly updates. Check out the various tiers and choose the one that suits your needs.
June’s regularly scheduled art card features art by Jane Pica.

And one the reverse of the Quarterly Art Card, I’ve printed a brand new, original, highly exclusive missing scene for Suuzu and Akira, entitled “Nesting Instinct.” But let’s not breeze past that gorgeous art just yet. It’s being printed at 5.5″ x 8.5″ and features art by Nicko. This is just a crop. Love that body language!

Patreon is also the first place to find out about my new series. Art and character introductions and cover reveals and summaries! Take a look >>
Chapter 7, “Love Letters” is live over on Patreon! Subscription to this story is one of the perks that starts at the Twinkle tier ($4/month). Thanks to those who’ve chosen to read along! I’m grateful.

Other Venues. I just did a quick check, and Rhomiko and the Confirmed Bachelor is showing up in the B&N storefront (for Nook). Keep checking your preferred ebook purveyors! If Bk7 isn’t there yet, the drop has to be imminent.
On a quote-related note, do y’all remember Anjou? He’s one of the toms who arrived for Pim Moonprowl’s consort call back in Bk6:
