Tybalt, Giuseppe, and Faisel—Coop met palms all around before accepting a seat. His stomach growled noisily, which sent Jiminy and Torloo toward the counter to order.
“So you’re avians, huh?” Coop took a receptive posture before admitting, “I can’t tell at all.”
“We’re living as members of the human community,” explained Tybalt. “Nobody outside the enclave knows the truth.”
“I get it. The wolf in my family’s a lawyer.”
“Oh?” Tybalt blinked. “Oh! You’re Daroo’s boy?”
Coop sat up straighter. “You’re friends of his?”
“Mmm… I know his sister better.” He frowned thoughtfully. “Did anyone think to tell her?”
