Guard Your Pockets
He yelped when he was immediately pounced.
Three big red squirrels swarmed over him in a confusion of ticklish tails and clever paws. He gasped out a laugh. “Hey, wait! What’re you doing!”
“Guard your pockets,” Jiminy warned.
Coop wrapped his arms around the squirrel who was chirring and rubbing their cheeks together. “Well, hi! I’m Coop. What’s your name?”
“That’s Bush—he’s completely incorrigible—and his co-conspirators are Push and Lush. Woodacres all.”
When they finally let Coop up, he did check his pockets, confirming that the trio of squirrels hadn’t stolen anything. Only added a handful of acorns.
