Shilah’s eyes widened. “Wh-what?”
On a roll, Jiminy pointed at the coyote’s feet. “The stones at your ankles have a uniquely gentle strength. Blues, I think? Or… I sometimes see black remnants used for protection. Excellent stuff.”
Gaze bouncing from his left hand to his right wrist, Shilah muttered, “Three…?”
“You didn’t know?” whispered Coop.
Shilah looked ready to cry.
Jiminy gently said, “You’re welcome in my den, friend of the packs.”
“He means both of us, Shilah.”
