Torloo eagerly explained, “This is my eldest brother, Naroo-soh.”

“You may call me Roo-nii, the same as Torloo.”

This new brother definitely took after their mom. Coop didn’t look like his dad either, but resemblance wasn’t always about hair color or a tendency to freckle. Coop loved it whenever Daroo said that he was just like Dad.

“I came to get you,” said Naroo-soh. “We must escort several Kith from an American enclave to safety here at Wardenclave.”

Torloo’s tail stilled. “That is my duty to the Maker, but… what about Coop?”

Naroo-soh extended a hand. “A pack runs together.”
