Speaking for reavers? Coop knew he was out.

Mirrim strode forward to face Torloo. “I’ll be your balance this year.”

Then they went through formal introductions, which took a long time. But it was interesting because Coop learned stuff. Like that Mirrim was from California. And that she belonged to a lynx Kith. Their bond was the big, main reason why she was in charge of this group.

“You lot are here because you were tapped,” she said, peering around the circle. “If this goes well, you’ll move into a Kith pairing program. But it’s a little early for congratulations.”
