Coop sat with ankle across knee, studying the unfamiliar ankle bracelet. Parallel strands were held together by bright threads. It was really good, fine workmanship, but not wolvish. “Does anything about it look familiar to you guys?”
Pierre eyed it warily. “That orange bead’s definitely a remnant. Tuned, too.”
“You’re sure it’s not yours?” Giang checked.
“Nope. I remember all the others. This one’s a stranger.”
“We should bring this to someone’s attention.” Pierre’s posture shifted into something more certain. “You’re sigiled, and this is warded against removal.”
Giang cautiously asked, “Have you ever met someone from a trickster clan?”
