Call Me Gabe

Coop waited patiently for Mikoto to finish.

“May… umm. May the season…?” The boy peered up at the tall, silver-haired man, who wore a pleased little half-smile. “You say it, Dad?”

“I will. Listen close.” His smile widened winsomely to include Coop and Torloo. “My name is Gabriel Reaver, and as my son already said, it is an honor to welcome you to our home. I am Wardenclave’s headman. Please, call me Gabe.” Then more slowly, in a teaching sort of tone, “May the coming season find you stronger for your efforts and richer for the bonds we will share.”

  2. It is nice that this is set in a time where we get to know more about Gabriel. We will see the influence he has on Mikoto. Also this gives us a great indication of where Coop is in age as it pertains to the more recent story line. If they are aging correctly I am guessing Coop is in his late 20’s early 30’s….in the main story line?

    • It’s established that Coop was 13 when the Emergence took place.

Bk7 takes place 13 years later, which means that at that point in the timeline, he’d be 26. (Yay for easy math!)
