Shelter
Coop woke to the tantalizing aromas of woodsmoke and grilling meat. Hungry as he was, he stayed put, a little sore and a lot lazy. The air had a chilly, drippy quality, and he was cozy.
He’d been tucked between furs in a straw-filled shed. Thick posts and sturdy beams held up a low roof. Coop mentally took the structure apart and put it back together. He could easily build something like this in the woods back home.
Hang on!
A structure meant they weren’t on the road anymore. They’d arrived.
Coop threw off the furs, eager to explore Wardenclave.

Yeay! And fun timing.
This week I finished reading Tsumiko to my mom for her first time, and finished my current re-read of Jacque and Boniface’s adventures at Stately House.
You always amaze me with the number of Easter eggs and cross references there are to find; so much fun! Specifically thinking of Coop dropping off Losi at the moment, but so many!
I was thinking I’d revisit Sonnet, but looking for that story I got sucked into Marked By Stars instead. I had just gotten to Glint meeting Waaseyaa, so looking forward to Coop’s upcoming visit to Wardenclave.
