Unending
Coop had never experienced anything like running with a pack. Oh, he’d ridden Daroo, and they’d sometimes run, but always along familiar paths that returned them home. Torloo and the other Elderboughs weren’t running in circles.
They ran far.
They ran freely.
Like the whole world was theirs, not just one piece of it.
Coop hadn’t realized how much he’d love all the newness. He still loved home, that hadn’t changed. But this was exciting, and he wanted more.
Maybe that should be his goal, then. At least for this summer.
But maybe longer. Lifelong stuff.
Coop wanted unending newness.
