As in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Rhomiko is ready. I’ve been on a strict final read-though schedule all week, and I left the little finesses until today (title page, table of contents, etc.) Plenty of time to hit my upload deadline. Except. Not …? Because I was meant to be operating on GMT, which has somehow never come up before. Anyhow, I missed the upload deadline by several time zones.
What does this *mean*, 4thy?!
Amazon will cancel the book. And anyone who pre-ordered will probably get some kind of notice to that effect.
So is the book delayed?
Nope. Still planning to publish on the 22nd. But I’ll have to set up the title again and click publish on the 22nd. Manually. It’ll release (sorta) immediately.
So this isn’t the end of the world?
Nah. Just really embarrassing. It’ll be okay.
Here’s a teaser for your trouble:

Who remembers Anjou? ::twinkle::

Oh no!!!! Well, I can’t say I haven’t done similar things…. Many, many, MANY times…. But through trials will come a sweeter success! Hahaha…
Regardless, I cannot wait!! My finger will be poised above the “purchase” button if that’s what’s needed! Squees will come swiftly after!

WordPress is playing with me… After eating the middle of my original comment then gobbling any successive attempts, I’m just going to post the rest out of my account……
………
So if Amazon is cancelling preorders but you are manually pressing “publish” on the 22nd, does that mean we just have to go in a purchase after the appropriate time? Can’t deny I am looking forward to it… and contemplating taking a day off work in celebration!
I was just rereading Lord Charming and Clumsy and they had your original notes about release day of Tsumiko, it had me all nostalgic… I definitely remember sitting outside at a table during my lunch hour and reading as fast as my eyes could carry me through! I can’t believe we’ve already reached the final Saga… (And very much happy to know we will be visiting Anjou! And hopefully Eiji as well… they’re a good sort and I have a feeling Jacques would like their support a great deal…)

Yep, you’ll just have to go in and purchase the book once I manually publish & it shows up in the virtual storefront.

Sounds like a big hassle for you, Im sorry! Feel like Amazon should have a system in place to fix things like that, you cant be the first to end up with this issue.
I’ll purchase the book as soon as it becomes available, no biggie on our end as readers. Reading the last book will be a bittersweet moment: on one hand cant wait to finish it, and on the other… well, it will be finished.
Congrats on this journey!

So THAT’S what happens if I miss my deadline! Considering how frequently I forget things, I’m suddenly glad my paranoia makes me upload the manuscript immediately upon pre-order. No worries though! This will just get everyone’s attention and drive us here to find out what happened! No harm, no foul.
