Coop sat, feet swinging, on the tailgate of an old green pickup full to bursting with sweetcorn. Husks squeaked and the air was filled with the scent of cornsilk as Coop helped two towheaded boys shuck. Chumani stood a little ways off, chatting with their mother.

  1. Moths? Mice?
It doesn’t help that I have chickens, ducks, geese, goats, cats, dogs, cockatiels, and every opportunistic raccoon within 15 miles trying to make a meal out of our smaller livestock.
Can’t wait to find out what they are! 😀
