Jacques faced himself and decided that yes, he was feeling shy about Timur.

Like most reaver kids, Michael and Sansa’s oldest boy only returned to Stately House for the odd reaver festival or Dichotomy Day celebration. Once a year at most, since he’d had regular classes, summer courses, and apprenticeships.

Timur had his mother’s build and his father’s smile. Fun and funny and fearless. And growing into the sort of man Jacques could so easily fall for.

So Jacques had unobtrusively distanced himself. It wasn’t that Jacques didn’t trust himself, but… lord. His own nephew? He’d never tread that path.
