Chapter 264: Faint

Inuyasha snapped awake when someone tugged his hair. He tried to summon a growl… but couldn’t. Human night. All his senses were eclipsed by the new moon.

“Awake?”

“Yeah.” Inuyasha tried to ease away from his brother, but an arm kept him close. “Something happen?”

“Hnn.”

He listened, but all his human ears could pick up were Kagome’s even breathing and a distant twittering. “Almost dawn?”

“Hnn.” Sesshoumaru’s hold shifted. Fingers stroked Inuyasha’s hair, touched his ear.

“Oi,” he grumbled.

The hand stilled… but stayed. “I am watching.”

Youki stirred. Blood raced. Strength returned. Senses sharpened.

Revealing Sesshoumaru’s faint smile.

  2. Ahhh…he finally got to see the change! That was a special moment for him. Kagome probably would have liked to see that. She snoozed right through it. ❤️
